How does it play? The Battle Royale mode of Fortnite is particularly popular. Here you jump out of a bus onto a play area at the beginning of a match and decide as one of up to 100 players where you want to land. After landing, you search for weapons and ammunition to prepare yourself against attacks from other players.
During a match, the play area shrinks due to a deadly storm. The last player or team standing wins.
Fortnite differs from other Battle Royale games mainly through its building mode. Players can gather materials in the world and build useful stairs, walls, or even houses out of wood, metal, and stone.
How does Fortnite generate revenue? In the in-game shop of Fortnite, you can buy cosmetic items like gliders, pickaxes, or entire outfits. These are paid for with the currency V-Bucks, which can be purchased for real money.
Regularly, Battle Passes are offered during Fortnite: Battle Royale Seasons, which can be bought for about €9.50 and provide incentives for exclusive cosmetic items.
Fortnite: Battle Royale is free and does not require purchase.
What interesting developments have occurred in Fortnite? Recently, the new Season X started, bringing new vehicles in the form of mechs into the game. Because these vehicles are incredibly strong, players demanded a nerf. The hashtag “RemoveTheMech” trended on Twitter.
