Garry the Prophet
Garry is a simple man found on Urmland Street next to Misty’s shop. He is dressed in a garbage bag and talks about wild conspiracy theories that most passersby just ignore. The reptilian humanoids of Alpha Centauri and Arasaka, as well as nomad werewolves, are just two things in his repertoire.
Garry informs V that through one of his implants, he can overhear various communication channels that he believes are used by aliens and sends the player to a named location that turns out to be a meeting point of Maelstrom gang members and corpos.
When V later returns to the same place where Garry usually hangs out, one must find that he has disappeared. His acquaintances tell V that he was taken by black-clad people with blue eyes who were supposed to take him to the “mothership.”
A somewhat unstable-looking man like Garry does not seem special at first glance in Night City. However, one must admit … that there may be something to his conspiracy theories.
Blue-eyed people, space – both aspects point to a real person in the game who has a significant influence on politics and other events in Night City, the mysterious Mr. Blue Eyes.
The fact that Garry was “removed” by seemingly important people from the public does not go against his conspiracy theories – rather the opposite. But whether Garry was ultimately a confused, paranoid man or a person who simply knew too much remains just a theory for players.
