Muamar “El Capitán” Reyes
Muamar Reyes, also known as “El Capitán,” is a fixer who primarily takes care of the Santa Domingo district.
He used to be a corpo but later became self-employed as a fixer when he realized that he preferred pulling the strings rather than being exploited by a large company.
He admires Santa Domingo for the resilience of the people who live there. No matter how often gangs or big corporations have tried to take over the district, somehow the residents always managed to remain strong. For this reason, the people and their fates in the district are very dear to El Capitán, which is why he wants to take special care of this part of the city – without the money of a corporation or the help of the NCPD.
El Capitán is considered one of the few fixers in Night City who actually stand for something, rather than focusing solely on business. To that end, he even goes so far as to launch a daring mission.
When he was young and grew up in Rancho Coronade, his greatest fear was the tap water provided to him and the residents of the area. Seeing other children develop serious illnesses or even die due to the toxic waste that Arasaka pumps into their drinking water disgusts him deeply. Therefore, he wants V to steal a huge vehicle full of medical supplies to protect the people in Rancho Coronade, especially the children, from the same fate he has witnessed so often before.
El Capitán’s mission and his commitment to the small town make him (except for Rogue) one of the best-written and most interesting fixers in Cyberpunk 2077, which is why he also deserves a place on this list.
