The new first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare puts players’ skills to the test with its rarest trophies, but doesn’t demand anything impossible. Check out the 4 rarest ones here and how to get them.
How do I get trophies in MW? The latest installment in the CoD series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, is known for its fast multiplayer gameplay and a controversial story.
The trophies and achievements in the game can all be unlocked in the exciting campaign and are achievable throughout the series. No lengthy collection tasks or exaggerated multiplayer feats – just special objectives that must be completed during the story.
However, platinum (on PS4) is not given away for free; the rarest trophies require a lot from the player. With the tips, you can easily snag the digital trophies.
Rarest Modern Warfare Trophies without Platinum
What do the rarest trophies look like? The numbers were checked on a Playstation on 07.12.19 and show 2 gold, one silver, and one bronze specimen among the rarest 4 trophies. The percentage indicates how many players who own the game have already unlocked that trophy.
- ? 1.1% – The night belongs to us
- Eliminate all enemies at the church, clock tower, and pool without any calling for reinforcements.
- ? 1.2% – Golden Path
- Complete “Townhouse” without being hit and with one shot per threat.
- ? 1.2% – Tunnel Rat
- Complete the tunnels in “Wolf’s Den” using only a 1911.
- ? 1.2% – Circus Tour
- Eliminate at least one enemy in Reading Place, Aural Chic, and both subway stations.
To be able to hold the coveted trophies in your hands, a few tasks in the missions are necessary. The achievements also apply to Xbox One.
The platinum trophy for PS4, which is awarded for unlocking all achievements, is not included here as it invariably represents the rarest trophy on Sony’s console.
How to get the achievements on PS4 and Xbox One
One thing to note: To collect the trophies easily, play the missions on the lowest difficulty level Recruit. None of these achievements have difficulty requirements.
Trophy: The night belongs to us
You can get this trophy in the 13th mission “Lights Out”. It probably takes the longest of all rare achievements.
How do I get the trophy? In the mission, you need to clear 3 enemy positions. To get the trophy, none of the enemies can call for reinforcements. This can be quite difficult even on the lower difficulty levels, which is why it is probably the rarest trophy.
Stealth is key here. The mission takes place at night and is designed so you can take out the enemies in one go. With the right calmness and tips, you should be able to finish the mission with the trophy easily.
- Utilize the checkpoints
- It saves often and there are many checkpoints.
- If you get caught, go to options and restart directly from the last checkpoint.
- Listen to Price
- Your colleague Captain Price supports you in the mission, listen to his call-outs.
- Proceed cautiously
- Move stealthily if possible
- When you want to take out an enemy, check if another might see it.
- Remember the positions of the enemies
- Some enemies patrol, others are always in place
- Remember as much as you can about the positions of the enemies and their behavior
- Eliminate all enemies
- A few enemies can also be found between the mission points, but most are lurking around the points.
- Clock tower: 10 enemies
- Pool house: 11 enemies
- Church: 13 enemies
- Use the fuse boxes and shoot out lights
- Almost every light source in the level can be turned off
- Shoot out annoying lights and look for the fuse boxes
Survey the three positions slowly and take your time with clearing. Once you are sure the area is completely cleared, only then engage with the hostage. Especially with the last hostage, make sure to interact only after you have the trophy!

Trophy: Golden Path
You can unlock the achievement for the “Golden Path” in the 5th mission “Townhouse” and again act in the dark.
How do I get the trophy? You will infiltrate a private house with your team and to get the trophy, you must hit all your enemies with a maximum of one bullet and cannot take any hits yourself. This required precision combined with your own safety is likely the reason why the trophy is so rare.
- Utilize the checkpoints again
- There are also many save points in this mission
- If you’ve fired too many shots or were hit, immediately load the last checkpoint
- You do not necessarily have to kill
- If your team takes out the execution, that counts as well
- It is important not to take a second shot
- Watch out for civilians
- Some NPCs have no weapons in hand; harming these civilians will prevent achievement
- Some enemies will pick up weapons later. They only become targets once they have a weapon in hand
- Try & Error
- Feel free to try again and load the checkpoint if you’re unsure everything went smoothly
Proceed calmly and load the checkpoints often. With each attempt, you can better predict the enemies’ behavior and after a while, you will know exactly how to proceed.

Trophy: Tunnel Rat
The third rare trophy is obtained in mission 10 “Wolf’s Den” while you crawl through the wolf’s escape tunnel to track him.
How do I get the trophy? During the mission, you’ll enter a tunnel and from that point on can only use the sidearm 1911. If you stick to the hints, this achievement shouldn’t be a problem.
- Use only the 1911 for kills
- Do not take grenades, do not use the knife, and do not pick up any other weapons until the trophy is unlocked
- The usual checkpoint play
- If you’ve eliminated an enemy otherwise or died, load from the last checkpoint and continue playing only with the 1911
- Be cautious when reloading
- Many weapons from fallen enemies lie on the ground
- Since these weapons can be picked up with the reload button on consoles, be especially careful here
- Pick up new 1911s
- If you encounter ammunition issues, you can pick up other 1911s that are lying around the level
- Trophy “Climbing Orgy”
- In this mission, it is also possible to unlock this achievement
- For this, you need to take out enemies from a ladder
Once you climb out of the hole at the end of the tunnel, the trophy should be done and you are one step closer to completing the rarest achievements.
Trophy: Circus Tour
The only bronze trophy in our list you can get in the second mission “Piccadilly”.
How do I get the trophy? Right at the start of the mission, it’s up to you to protect civilians from attackers and you need to eliminate enemies in four different locations.
- Aural Chic – Fashion Store
- As soon as you can move freely on Piccadilly, run to the right into the store
- Eliminate the hostage-taker and exit the store on the other side
- Be particularly quick in the first two locations; otherwise, the enemy from the subway station will confront you too early
- Subway Station 1
- Exit the store and turn right
- You can already see the station now
- Watch out for enemies on the way
- Go completely through the station
- You’ll encounter a suicide bomber on the opposite stairs
- Try to gain some distance and watch out for the explosion radius of the running bomb
- Subway Station 2
- Return to the start
- The entrance is on the left side from the start
- Eliminate the hostagetakers
- Go completely through the station
- Reading Place – Bookstore
- When coming out of the subway station, you’ll see the bookstore right away
- Clear the store and wait for the achievement to pop up
This achievement is among the easiest of the rare trophies and shouldn’t pose a problem if you go through the points quickly. It’s mainly about speed.
