In fourth place is Season 12 of NCIS. Most of the old
team is still here:
Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), Anthony DiNozzo (Micheal Weatherly), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Abby Scuito (Pauley Perrette), Donald Ducky
Mallard (David McCallum), and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen). Since Season 11, Eleanor Ellie
Bishop (Emily Wickersham) has also joined in.
The season has a total of 24 episodes and an average rating of 8.08 out of 10 stars. The highest-rated episode is number 11 with 8.8 stars: In it, Team Gibbs investigates a case where the crime scenes seem to be copies of previous cases. Additionally, Gibbs has to deal with two of his ex-wives.
Place 3: Season 17
The first place on the podium goes to Season 17 with 20 episodes and an average rating of 8.14. Team Gibbs has mixed things up well: DiNozzo is gone, but there are newcomers Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Dr. Jacqueline Jack Sloane (Maria Bello) for the team.
For fans of classic NCIS, there’s a great season premiere: In the first episodes, we reunite with Ziva David, who left the series at the beginning of Season 11. This is also where the groundwork for the currently newest spin-off series to NCIS is laid: NCIS Tony & Ziva.
However, the highest-rated episode is episode 20. For a change, it’s not about a dead Marine, but about a theft in the home of an admiral. He claims to have survived Pearl Harbor and wishes to be buried on the USS Arizona. However, the battleship was sunk by the Japanese in 1941.
