The first season of Apex Legends has been officially announced – including a Battle Pass. It starts today, March 19, at 6 PM. Developer Respawn announced this via Twitter. The Battle Pass will also be available for in-game currency Coins.
When does Season 1 start? The official Twitter account of Apex Legends has just posted a tweet.
According to this tweet, the official start of the first season of Apex Legends is today, March 19, at 6:00 PM German time. (10 AM Pacific Time)
This is in Season 1: The season will be titled “Wild Frontier” and corresponds to the leak that Origin recently accidentally caused itself.
For an overview of the new content, EA has set up a website for the Battle Pass and the first season.
There are some rewards for players who do not purchase the Battle Pass. Those who simply play in Season 1 will receive:
- a “Wild Frontier” skin (legendary)
- 5 Apex Packs
- 18 “Wild Frontier” Stat Trackers
- the new legend Octane
Those who purchase the Battle Pass will also immediately unlock some skins:
- the Revolutionary skin for Lifeline
- the Survivor skin for Wraith
- the Outlaw skin for Mirage
Battle Pass for Apex Legends is also available for Coins
What does the Battle Pass cost? Together with Season 1, the first Battle Pass for Apex Legends will be released. It will be available for purchase directly in the in-game shop using Apex Coins:
- the normal Battle Pass will cost 950 Coins (roughly €9.50)
- the “Battle Pass Bundle” will cost 2800 Coins (roughly €28)
The bundle already unlocks the first 25 tiers of the Battle Pass.

Players had speculated beforehand whether the pass would be available for in-game currency Coins or only via euros. Now the answer is known.
Apex Coins are currently cheaper at Amazon.
This is how the Battle Pass works: According to the website, you will be able to earn up to 100 tiers in the Battle Pass. Thus, the Battle Pass works similarly to that of the competitor Fortnite.
As you level up, you will gradually unlock more content. This includes:
- Weapon skins
- Loot boxes
- seasonal stat trackers
- and it seems Apex Coins
