3. Bailey Hoskins
First appearance: 2016 in X-Men: Worst X-Man Ever #1
Just the title of his first comic is X-Men: Worst X-Man Ever. Basically, his ability is quite powerful. He can blow himself up. The problem is, if he uses this power, he dies.
Hoskins was for a time at Charles’s school, but he did not survive his comic for long. He shows a rather tragic side of mutations. One does not always have the cool
powers known from the movies (via Marvel Database).
2. Soft-Serve / Eye-Scream
First appearance: 2021 in Way of X #2 (Soft-Serve) / 1986 in Obnoxio the Clown #1 (Eye-Scream)
In this spot, we have Soft-Serve and Eye-Scream, as they both have similar abilities. Eye-Scream has the incredibly useful ability to turn himself into any flavor of ice cream he wants.
Soft-Serve doesn’t need to transform himself but can produce all flavors of ice cream. She also has control over which flavor is produced (via Marvel Database).
1. Toad Boy
First appearance: 2004 in District X #2
What can be worse than a power that kills everyone around you or is completely useless? A power that gives you nothing but that evil villains want. The body of Toad Boy produces a neurotoxin called Toad Juice
.
This substance works as an addictive drug, which is why Toad Boy was kidnapped to produce infinite Toad Juice. His kidnappers wanted to produce addictive drugs with him. Even his own mother became addicted to it (via Marvel Database).
This list shows that not all mutants are born with cool and heroic powers. Some have really bad luck and cannot become great superheroes. In the X-Men films, the tragic side of mutations is hardly ever shown. Nevertheless, the films are worth it for action fans.
