Rank 9: Avallac’h
Avallac’h belongs to the Aen Saevherne, wise elves with magical abilities. They are primarily known for their extensive knowledge and provide the best point of contact for interpreting prophecies and oracles. They also have knowledge of Elder Blood, a bloodline with extraordinary capabilities, from which Ciri also descends.
Avallac’h therefore also plays an important role in the story of Witcher 3 and becomes a sort of mentor for Ciri. Basically, his goal is to protect Ciri. However, his motivations and methods can sometimes be somewhat questionable. For example, he selectively bred magically gifted elves to create a “super-elf” who can manipulate space and time. This resulted in Caranthir, who later became a member of the Wild Hunt.
Also, when it comes to magical abilities, Avallac’h should not be underestimated. He can travel between worlds, create protective barriers, and perform numerous other forms of magic. One should not make the mistake of confusing him with an ordinary mage, for he is far more than that. The Aen Saevherne are almost a legend, whose existence is known to only a few. Even though they are more known for knowledge than combat prowess, they are undoubtedly immensely powerful.
