Netflix is a popular streaming service where countless movies can be found. The platform itself has revealed which are the most popular and most-watched. Especially spot 1 is still quite fresh.
Keeping track of Netflix is not so easy. After all, the number of available movies is large. New ones are added every month, and others disappear from the offering. Especially Netflix’s original productions, which are permanently available, generate a lot of buzz and achieve high view counts.
Netflix itself has revealed which films are the most-watched on the platform, and also how many views they generated – in the first 91 days since release.
The following ranking is therefore based on the official figures from Netflix. For each film, we provide a brief overview and reveal how the general opinion is. In the top 10, films are gathered that all premiered in 2018 or later. Spot 1 is even very new and premiered in June 2025 on the streaming platform.

In Damsel, Netflix regular Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) plays Princess Elodie. She is unwillingly married to a prince, but it quickly becomes clear that she is merely meant to serve as a sacrifice for a dangerous dragon. This threatens the kingdom, and soon also Elodie’s life. However, she is not the “Damsel in distress”, but rather takes her fate into her own hands.
The film offers entertaining content with a good lead actress, even though some aspects like the story or the effects are somewhat lacking. On Rotten Tomatoes, critics rate it at 57%, while users rate it almost the same at 59%. Shortly after release, Damsel already set a record.
