Griffins look like a mix between a big cat and a bird of prey, with sharp claws and large wings. They are quite aggressive and have become a real plague in the Northern Kingdoms. They prefer to attack cows and sheep but do not shy away from humans either.
In battle, one should not underestimate Griffins. They are very strong and can knock opponents to the ground with the gust of a wing flap. Particularly noteworthy are the so-called Arch Griffins. This is a particularly dangerous subspecies that is not only more resilient than their counterparts but can also spit acid.
In the base game “The Witcher 3,” the monster with the highest level is actually an Arch Griffin. At the same time, a Griffin is the very first major monster we face in the game.
