In “The Witcher 3″ we travel through the lands and diligently fill our bestiary. But which creatures should one particularly beware of? Grab your silver swords, because here come the 10 most dangerous monsters, sorted by their strength.
What was the ranking based on? The Witcher universe is now quite extensive. Starting with the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, through the video games, to the Netflix series. To simplify things, however, we will limit this list exclusively to monsters found in the bestiary of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt”.
Of course, each monster has its own strengths and weaknesses. For the classification in this list, we primarily considered the following factors:
- Physical strength and resistance
- Magical abilities
- Intelligence and strategy
- How dangerous can the monster become to a witcher?
Rank 10: Him
- Classification: Spirit
- Occurrence: Spikeroog
Hims may not be the strongest, but they are among the creepiest monsters on this list. The spirit beings do not attack their victims directly, but indirectly drain their life force by causing suffering. Fortunately, the innocent are safe from them. Hims only prey on corrupted individuals who have already committed crimes.
Once possessed by a Him, life becomes nothing but torment. The spirits manipulate their victims into violence, aggression, and self-destruction. They target the deepest fears and feelings of guilt, cause terrible nightmares, and gradually drive the possessed individual into madness.
Some victims try to better themselves to get rid of the Him. However, this has no effect. Hims only disappear when the victim is completely insane or driven to suicide.
