Place 3: Mooncalf
Mooncalves are extremely shy creatures that only come out of hiding on nights of the full moon. They are particularly noticeable due to their unusual but very cute appearance: they have a long neck, very large eyes on the top of their head, and a proportionally small body with duck-like feet.
As unusual as their appearance is, so is their behavior. They perform complex dances on their hind legs, presumably for mating purposes. They can leave geometric patterns on the ground – much to the astonishment of Muggles.
The peaceful creatures prefer to live in herds and can also be seen in “Fantastic Beasts”.
Place 2: Cuddly Muff/ Mini Muff
Cuddly Muffs look like fluffy balls with eyes. Essentially, they are the perfect pets. They are small, easy to care for, love to cuddle, and can even be thrown around. When they feel comfortable, they hum contentedly to themselves.
They eat just about anything but seem to have a particular preference for the boogers of their wizards. Okay, this part is perhaps more disgusting than cute.
We would also like to place the Mini Muff in the same spot. This is a variant of the Cuddly Muff bred by Fred and George, which they sell in their store. They are smaller, colored either pink or purple, and basically the even cuter version of a Cuddly Muff.
In Part 6, Ginny buys a purple Mini Muff that she names Arnold.
Place 1: Niffler
No creature has probably captured as many hearts as the Niffler. However, these platypus-like beings are not exactly innocent. They are fascinated by anything that shines and sparkles. To get to their victims, they do not shy away from theft, burglary, and possibly destruction caused along the way.
The stolen loot is then stored in a pouch on their belly, which can magically carry an enormous amount of items.
Despite everything, we simply have to love these fluffy little rascals, especially since “Fantastic Beasts”. They are just way too cute, and actually very peaceful and trusting.
