What kind of game is this? In Manor Lords, you are the ruler of your home village and must expand it into a bustling town. It takes place in the late 14th century and places great emphasis on historical accuracy while you manage your resources and food, and build houses for your residents as well as trade routes.
Alongside the city-building aspect, Manor Lords also features real-time battles. You assemble your own army from simple peasants or trained soldiers and must defend against enemies on the vast map or call to attack.
Who is the developer? Manor Lords was primarily developed by Grzegorz “Greg” Styczeń. He founded his studio, Slavic Magic, back in July 2018. He was surprised by the large interest in his medieval city-building game, as he expected only 14,000 wishlist entries. Before its release, Manor Lords was one of the most wished-for games on Steam alongside Hades 2 and Hollow Knight: Silksong, and had 2 million players waiting.
