What kind of game is this? As a group of travelers, you decide to start a new life in a foreign land. With just the clothes on your back and a cart full of supplies from your old home, you begin your new life in Banished.
The villagers are your most important resource and can perform over twenty different professions. Each of them ages, can have children, feels happiness or unhappiness, and eventually dies, allowing the village to continue growing and establish a civilization.
Your hard-earned resources can be traded with merchant ships to obtain exotic goods and quickly grow your village into the most splendid city in the area.
Who is the developer? Behind Shining Rock Software is a single developer who was able to release his passion project Banished in 2014. Previously, he worked for 10 years as a professional graphics engine programmer. With his own studio, he wanted to create games he himself wants to play.
The next project from Shining Rock Software will be a title similar to Banished, but with more focus on the individual residents (shiningrocksoftware.com).
