Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero has 182 characters to choose from, with whom you can fight in various online modes. However, not every fighter is equally strong. We will introduce you to the 10 strongest in this list.
How was this list created? Several factors contributed to the ranking of the characters:
- High stats, especially high damage
- Attack and combo speed
- How well the ultimate super attack can be landed in a combo
- Is there a way to enter Sparking! mode through an ability
- Abilities that provide buffs
- Are shields or healing available in the repertoire
The Sparking! mode is relevant because it allows for better and longer combos, which can be combined with the ultimate super attack, enabling you to kill many characters with one combo if done correctly.
The strength of the characters relates to optimal conditions. In other words, you land a simple combo and finish it with an ultimate super attack. Opponents can, of course, block or evade your abilities. To improve in this area, you need to learn the timing for evading and blocking.
In general: If the character costs a lot of ZP, it usually has good stats and can be played in a 1 against 1 without concerns.
In this list, we are talking about the strongest forms of each character. Generally, every character on this list has the ability to eliminate many characters in the roster with one combo and the ultimate.

10. Golden Freezer
Cost: 8 ZP (Base Form: 6 ZP)
- Can enter Sparking! mode with an ability
- Gains a buff in the process
- Fast combo
This position is the most variable, as many others could have landed on number 10. Toppo could also be here. However, he cannot directly enter Sparking! mode, which is why we chose Golden Freezer.
Golden Freezer deals enormous damage with his ultimate ability, which is easy to hit in Sparking! mode in a combo. He is fast and has good super attacks without his ultimate to put pressure on the opponent.
9. Kefla
Cost: 8 ZP (Base Form: 6 ZP)
- Can enter Sparking! mode with an ability
- 2 buff options
- Fast combo
Kefla has the potential to be one of the strongest characters in the game, but she requires a more difficult setup than other characters. While she can buff herself twice, you also need enough ability bars for that.
The combo with her ultimate can also achieve enormous damage, but the timing in the combo is a bit more difficult than with other characters on the list. If a skilled player uses her, she would rank higher on the list.
8. Both Brolys
Cost: 9 ZP each (Base Form: 5 ZP each)
- Can enter Sparking! mode with an ability
- Gains a buff in the process
- Has super armor against many characters (knockback from enemy attacks comes later)
The two Brolys are presented together here because they are very similar. They are quite slow but deal enormous damage; their super armor allows them to retaliate more easily against many characters.
Unfortunately, the combo in Sparking! mode is not always optimal because opponents are often knocked back, which means you do not always achieve optimal damage. The Brolys have a different rhythm than other characters. However, anyone who remembers that rhythm should find success with both, especially since they only cost 5 ZP in their base form.
