In The Division 2, the Nemesis sniper rifle is currently the most powerful weapon. This makes it highly sought after, but many have been waiting for weeks to obtain it.
This weapon is about: The Nemesis sniper rifle is currently the strongest weapon in the game that can be obtained since the 1st major update. Even though it is so powerful, it is easier to obtain than other exotics like the Merciless rifle.
How to get Nemesis: You can obtain the parts and the blueprint by killing certain named enemies. These named enemies can only be found in operation invasions.

However, there is a problem that causes some players to wait for weeks.
Mission change leads to a test of patience
What is the problem with the missions? The infiltrator status rotates weekly. The rotation, where a different stronghold and missions are infiltrated each week, occurs either randomly and not in a fixed order, or is deliberately set by Massive.
Since you get the parts from the strongholds, you can only unlock one part each week. There are a total of 4 parts, one for each of the strongholds:
- Tidal Basin
- District Union Arena
- Roosevelt Island
- The Capitol
While Tidal Basin can always be completed, the infiltrator status rotates around the other three strongholds. Some players have already been waiting for about 4 weeks for The Capitol to return as an operation invasion.
This is how the rotation has gone so far: The rotation begins with the 1st major update and the introduction of World Tier 5 and Tidal Basin on April 5:
- Week 1: The Capitol
- Week 2: Roosevelt Island
- Week 3: District Union Arena
- Week 4: Roosevelt Island
- Week 5 (Since 5.2.): District Union Arena
So anyone who missed The Capitol about 4 weeks ago has been waiting for almost 2 weeks now.
Not only does that put many players, who are eager for the weapon, to the test of patience. What if a different stronghold is infiltrated next week instead of The Capitol?
This is how the community is reacting: More and more players are annoyed by the waiting. They don’t understand why these missions are not simply alternately active.
- For example, Pastor_ZatX writes frustrated on Reddit: “Not Nemesis again… The Capitol… not infiltrated again! […] Massive, fix this crap and let the operation invasions rotate steadily!”
- Many other frustrated players agree, some of whom have been waiting for almost 4 weeks. Some think such time restrictions are simply a bad system for such weapons.
- The user Magmaviper is reminded of Destiny and the situation surrounding the exotic Gjallarhorn. Back then, many players didn’t get their hands on the coveted weapon before it was nerfed. Many players fear a similar fate for the Nemesis exotic.
What will happen next with the rotation of the missions is unclear. Massive has not commented on this yet.
In a State of the Game a few weeks ago, the developer explained that they want to implement improvements to the reset timers in the future.
Possibly, the weekly reset of the missions will also be revised as part of this.
