If you encounter naked players wandering aimlessly on your travels through Appalachia, there’s a reason for that. Some fans of Fallout 76 have been engaged in a rather crazy challenge for some time now.
What is this challenge? It involves the “Nukashine Challenge”. Since the Alcohol Update of Fallout 76, players can brew Nukashine, a strong liquor that causes blackouts.
The players drink the liquor and then wake up at a random position on the map. The challenge they set for themselves is to find their way back to their C.A.M.P. Without help.
The challenge has been ongoing for almost a month now, but it is still popular with players, as a report from PCGamer shows.
This is how the Nukashine Challenge works
This is how you can participate: If you want to try it yourself, you can easily join in. You only need some Nukashine. You can either brew it yourself or buy it, possibly even at our reader Philipp’s bar.
You then put all equipment in your chest and keep only:
- a simple knife without effects
- a can of food
- a bottle of water
Drink the Nukashine and you will see the world slightly distorted at first. Eventually, everything goes black, and you wake up at a random position again. Now you must make your way back to your C.A.M.P. naked.
These are the rules: On reddit, fans have established some rules for this:
- no fast travel
- you may collect items but may not use workbenches
- you may cook
- friends may not give you items
- but you may beg from strangers
- you may only team up with other naked Vault dwellers
- the C.A.M.P. must not be moved.
For particularly adventurous players, there is even a “Hardcore Mode”. In this, you must drop all combat and stealth perks and may not use the map. Good luck!
