The free-to-play MMO TERA is celebrating a summer festival on consoles in the coming days. From July 17 to August 7, a beach party and a sun festival await players.
If you haven’t had enough of summer yet, you can now enjoy the warm season in TERA as well. A beach party with mini-games takes place in Castanica, while the sun festival is celebrated at the Sun Temple in Balder’s Refuge. The summer festival in TERA takes place on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from July 17 to August 7.
Beach Party in Castanica
Mini-games on the beach: In TERA, a beach party is celebrated in Castanica in honor of summer. At the beach of the Dragon Turtle and on the island of Kerozen, along the coasts of Eastgarath in the north of Castanica, mini-games can be played and sandcastles built.
The mini-games and sandcastles are accessible to characters of all levels, while special quests for the beach party can only be accepted by players level 48 or higher.
- Mini-game Water Cannon: Shoot water at the demons in the sea to score points. Shooting red sea monsters gives points, but shooting blue sea monsters deducts points.
- Mini-game Watermelon: Hit the watermelon with your eyes closed. However, if you hit one of the barrels, you will lose valuable time.
- Sandcastles: Collect sand on the beach and build as many sandcastles as you can. Once you have built enough, you will receive magical items that allow you to build a sandcastle anywhere.
Sun Festival in Balder’s Refuge
Help the priests with the summer cleanup: Much less playful, things are going in Balder’s Refuge as the priests of the Conos clan need help in the Sun Temple.
- Fight monsters: Fight your way through the halls and courtyards of the temple and throw out the monsters that have settled in since the last summer cleanup.
- Clean up the temple: Once you have dealt with all the monsters, it’s time to clean up. Monster waste, trash and graffiti will not be tolerated.
- Ice cream after cleaning: Reward yourself with a delicious dessert, but only if you have collected the right ingredients.
For each completed event at the beach party or the Blood Banquet at the sun festival, you will receive beach shells. These special shells can be exchanged for various accessories, enchanting materials, or equipment. There are also random quests that change daily.
