The action MMO Tera is now getting its tenth class in Korea. The “Arcane Engineer” relies on heavy equipment.
Tera is finally getting back on track after a longer phase of perceived stagnation. The tenth update also brings the tenth class. The “Arcane Engineer” is supposed to specialize in heavy cannons and draw on both magic and “machine”.
Like the Blade Dancer before, the Arcane Engineer will also be limited to a specific combination of gender and race. Only Castanic and High Elves will be able to play it (or rather: her), as only female heroes can become Arcane Engineers.
Although the new class will only move slowly on the battlefield, the gameplay sounds fast-paced according to a developer interview: it will be about chaining quick attacks together and ultimately gaining momentum on the battlefield.
In contrast to the last class, the Blade Dancer, the “Arcane Engineer” will start at level 1. Bluehole Studios will specifically enlarge the starter area for this. The “Arcane Engineer” is expected to arrive in Korea on December 17.
