The Healer and Support Classes in TERA
Healers are there to keep their group alive. A support character, on the other hand, focuses on buffs that support the group.
The Priest – The Top Healer in the Game!

While the Lancer is the archetypal tank in TERA, the Priest represents the ideal healer. This noble character constantly heals his friends and doesn’t do much else. This makes him a welcome guest in every group.
| Role | Classic Healer |

Advantages: The Priest can provide his group with a lot of healing, having the strongest healing in the game. He also uses area healing and shields for damage absorption. His self-healing makes him very resilient. Additionally, his group buffs are practical: he has a powerful strength buff, which greatly benefits many classes that are less dependent on critical hits. Furthermore, the good mana support benefits classes like the Wizard or Lancer.
Disadvantages: He can essentially only heal and doesn’t do much else. The Mystic has the more popular damage buff for the group.
The Priest in Solo Play: The Priest struggles in solo play, as he deals little damage. While he can take down his opponents, he should rather leave that to other classes. For leveling, it’s best to seek companions – they will appreciate you for the healing and power buff!
The Priest in Endgame PvE: The Priest is the classic healer who should always find a place. However, the Mystic is often more popular in experienced or well-coordinated 5-man groups due to his buffs. In 20-man raids, however, he cannot be missed due to his area healing – and the strength buff is a great complement to the crit buff from the Mystic.
The Mystic – Healer and Buffer

| Role | Healer / Support |
| Combat Style | Ranged |
| Equipment | Fabric |
The Mystic is like the Priest a good healer. However, he does not heal as strongly but instead focuses on buffs. Especially his crit buffs are prized by group members in burst phases. His skills are somewhat more difficult to master, as they require precise aiming and skill.
Advantages: The Mystic is a solid healer who also distributes strong buffs on crit damage. As a result, he becomes highly interesting for many classes with low crit values. Also cool: he can drop orbs that teammates can pick up to regenerate life and mana when needed.
Disadvantages: The Mystic’s skills are more challenging to aim than those of the Priest. So one must pay attention. Additionally, the Mystic is more vulnerable to damage and dies quickly if he positions poorly.
The Mystic in Solo Play: Like the Priest, the Mystic is not much good as a solo farmer. Better to take a DPS class for solo play.
The Mystic in Endgame PvE: Thanks to the crit buff, the Mystic often has a regular spot in 5-man teams. Especially when the group has good power builds and benefits greatly from the crit buff.
