In Battle for Azeroth, there are quirky weapons. We show you the coolest new weapon models from World of Warcraft!
In World of Warcraft, there will soon be a greater variety of weapons again. With Battle for Azeroth, the artifact weapons have become obsolete and there are numerous new models for armament. Even while questing on Zandalar (Horde) and Kul Tiras (Alliance), there are plenty of new weapons to be acquired.
The colleagues from wowhead have already dived deep into the data of patch 8.0.1 and brought most of the weapon models to light. Today we show you some weapons that Horde players can presumably acquire while questing on Zandalar.
In just about 11 minutes, the various weapons are presented. All weapons come in four different color variations.
Burning Swords and Tentacle Weapons
One sword particularly stands out, consisting only of a hilt. The blade, on the other hand, is made of a pillar of flame and thus resembles the already known “lightsabers” that have been in the game since Classic. Anyone who likes a fiery appearance will probably want to add this one-handed sword to their collection.
If a sword made of flames is not crazy enough, then perhaps you prefer something tentacled. Because a off-hand weapon with the name Xalzaix has been found, which apparently is connected to the Old Gods. However, this octopus-like thing is not “worn” in the off-hand but hovers around the character.
This reminds many of the demonology artifact weapon of warlocks, the Skull of the Man’ari. However, it is still unclear for which classes Xalzaix will be accessible. It could also simply be a quest item.
The exact sources for these weapons are still unknown. Most fans assume that many more weapon models will follow, which can then be acquired in dungeons or raids. So far, it seems to be “only” the models of quest rewards.
What do you think of the new weapon models? Are you excited to finally be able to wield normal weapons again? Or will you directly transmog the weapons into your artifact weapon?
