The release of Temtem for PC is now known. The new MMO has borrowed quite a bit from Pokémon and could be the online game that fans have always wished for.
When is Temtem releasing? After its successful Kickstarter campaign, the MMO Temtem aims for a release on PC, Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. At least for Steam, a launch date is now known: Temtem will enter Early Access on January 21, 2020.
Is there Temtem Early Access for Switch, PS4, Xbox One? The Early Access will be PC-exclusive. The release on the other platforms will occur at a later date.
Gameplay: What exactly is Temtem?
This is what you can expect from Temtem: Temtem is even described in the official Steam description as an MMO inspired by Pokémon. Players will explore various archipelagos and catch monsters, but also discover other possibilities such as customizing their houses.
This is what the Temtem gameplay offers: Temtem is not a game you mostly have to play alone like Pokémon. The MMO takes place in an online environment where you can play with your friends. There will be

- Tournaments
- and a co-op campaign
You can also tackle the main campaign solo. And this should give Pokémon fans a familiar feeling. Because besides the battles, which take place similarly to Pokémon, you must:
- Catch many different Temtems
- Smartly exploit the type of monsters
- Level up and evolve monsters
- Breed

How did the Temtem Alpha perform?
This is how players are reacting to the Temtem Alpha: Those who pre-ordered the game or supported it on Kickstarter had the opportunity to sign up for the game’s alpha. And this already gave a good impression of what the finished game could look like, as you can see in this video from MMOByte.
The YouTuber praises the battle system, which plays very similarly to Pokémon overall. However, he misses the classic Pokémon notification about the effectiveness of individual attacks. Additionally, there is a stamina system that makes the battles a bit more complex.

- The customization options for the character
However, the necessary funds for new outfits were sometimes lacking, as this had to be used too often for healing items. But that is a minor issue. If you love monster-collecting games, the YouTuber says, you will also love the new MMO Temtem.
Also, YouTuber HeroVoltsy showed in extensive videos what the game looks like. And the reactions are overall positive. The animation gets praise, as does the music. Especially the fans are looking forward to the Switch release – no wonder, since many Pokémon fans are excited about Temtem.
