The mythical Keystone dungeons from World of Warcraft are known for not always being harmonious. How quickly one can be kicked from the group is now demonstrated by the fate of a tank who just wanted some assistance with “kicking.”
Why was the tank kicked from the group? It was supposed to be a smooth dungeon run in the Stonevault from WoW: The War Within, on the fourth Keystone level of the Mythic difficulty. However, after a wipe at the second boss (up to that point, there had been no losses), the situation escalated suddenly.
The culprit was a clear misunderstanding. The Paladin tank asked the group, “Can we kick?” He wanted support with interrupting the boss’s spells, and he also asked the group leader to restart the boss fight: “Go reset.”

What happened next? The group leader, however, interpreted the request to kick and reset differently, seeing it as a request to kick from the group and reset the Keystone. He found that such a selfish statement warranted promptly kicking the tank from the group.
It was only after some explanations from group members that the leader realized his mistake: “Oh, he mean kick.” On Reddit, TugaTheGoat, who was part of the group, published a screenshot with the chat history, along with some accompanying words.
How is the community reacting to the faux pas? They are responding with over 3,000 upvotes and more than 500 comments on the story (as of 24.09.2024, 12:45).

In the discussion, players also refer to language barriers. It is said that the Paladin is from a French server, while the group leader apparently comes from Portugal, like TugaTheGoat.
