Many heroes are being reworked on the test server of Overwatch. If you have already looked at the changes and tested them, you might have noticed that one of the heroes is not playable at all.
Reinhardt disabled: If you roam around the Overwatch PTR (Public Test Realm), you currently cannot select the tank hero Reinhardt. He is not playable in training or in normal or custom matches.

What’s wrong with Reinhardt?
Bug causes server crashes: The reason why Reinhardt is currently not playable is a “gamebreaking bug” in the literal sense. When Reinhardt is selected, it can cause the server to crash, as developer Romain Dijoux writes in the official forum.
Blizzard has been working on a patch that should have been released on Monday or early this week. As of now (as of September 25, 2018, 3:45 PM), Reinhardt is still disabled.
There have been frequent issues with Reinhardt in the recent past. The current bug shows that it does not seem easy to fix all the problems.
Shields are set to be reworked: There should have been a visual change for Reinhardt on the PTR. The rework should apply to all heroes with a shield:
- Brigitte
- Winston
- Orisa
- Reinhardt
Their shields should receive a new effect with the visual rework. When the shields have low hit points, they should flicker and slightly flash, like broken electronics.

What else is changing? The current PTR patch holds some changes. One of the biggest is the complete rework of Torbjörn, who will throw his turrets in the future and spread lava puddles in his ultimate “Molten Core”.
The hero Pharah is also getting a rework, which will require players to have slightly more accuracy and increases her mobility. Our community at MeinMMO estimates that this is intended to be a nerf on console, where she currently seems too strong to many.
