The SWTOR update has been postponed by a week. The team is not yet satisfied with the quality of the new patch.
Players of Star Wars: The Old Republic were supposed to be frolicking on Iokath by now, engaging in battles against machines and helping either the Republic or the Empire regain power. But things turned out differently than expected. Patch 5.2 “War for Iokath” has been postponed by a week and will now be released no earlier than April 18, 2017.
In the official forum, Eric Musco, the SWTOR Community Manager, commented on this topic and explained:
“We want to ensure that all our updates are released with the best possible quality, and Patch 5.2 The War for Iokath is no exception. Currently, we are still not satisfied with the quality of the patch. Therefore, we are postponing the release of Patch 5.2 by a week, so it will be released on April 18. We did not make this decision lightly, as we know how much you all want to see the new story, reunite with old companions, and destroy the God of Wrath.”
Fans will have to wait another 7 days. As a small consolation, the current event has been extended for 250% experience and will last until the patch is released next week.
In “War for Iokath”, the focus is primarily on the titular planet, which consists largely of droids and other machines. The outsider must decide to whom the new resources will be allocated: the Republic or the Empire.
Rumors suggest that life might soon return to the KOTOR series – is there any truth to this?
