With the War for Iokath, SWTOR gets a new operation – fans have had to wait nearly 2 years for this.
Players of Star Wars: The Old Republic have had to endure quite a lot over the past few months. While story fans have fully enjoyed the past two expansions, things have looked bleak for fans of group activities. Aside from uprisings and a few group missions and flashpoints, there was little to do.
Particularly larger, organized guilds have repeatedly complained that there would be no new raids – or operations, as they are called in SWTOR. There was no incentive for large groups to play, aside from PvP.
No exact details about the operation “Gods of War” are available yet; only the first fight against the god Tyth is already known.

But Patch 5.2 has even more to offer than just a new operation. Players can meet some of their beloved companions from the past again and find out what they have been up to in the years since the original story of the game. For solo players, there’s a new area with daily quests,
Patch 5.2: War for Iokath is set to release on April 11, which is next Tuesday. For many players, this might be a good occasion to subscribe again to Star Wars: The Old Republic for a month.
