In SWTOR two events are now taking place simultaneously – the Life Day is beginning and the Rakghoul Plague is returning.
Holiday Overload – Free Choice
It requires quite a bit of self-irony to hold these two events. Nevertheless, in Star Wars: The Old Republic, the Life Day is currently taking place, the galactic version of Christmas. At the same time, the Rakghoul Plague has broken out once again, turning innocent citizens into bloodthirsty zombies – also a way to celebrate “life”.
The Life Day – Plenty of Snow Packages
To kick off the Life Day properly, players should head to their respective fleet and visit the Galactic Trade Network there. Close by is this year’s Ceremony Master, who sells almost all rewards for this celebration. Among other things, he also has the Life Day Snowball Bomb for 1000 Credits on offer, which is essential to acquire most of the other rewards.

You throw the Snowball Bomb at other players as soon as the cooldown is over. With a probability of ~15% per throw, you will receive a snow-covered package – the currency of Life Day. You can then exchange this with the Ceremony Master for countless items. The special thing: All items that were only available on the Cartel Market last year are now accessible through the snow-covered packages! However, there are some new additions on the Cartel Market, such as a vehicle with a thick snow cannon on top.
The Life Day lasts from December 15 to January 5 – so there is plenty of time to throw a whole lot of snowballs in your fellow players’ faces.
If one celebration is not enough, from December 15 to December 22, you will also have the opportunity to fight with zombies, as the Rakghoul Plague once again haunts the desert planet Tatooine.
If you have been inactive for a long time, you might want to take another look at the game. Currently, the first chapter of the story expansion Knights of the Fallen Empire is free.
