Developers hint at UE5 upgrade: On January 11, 2023, the official Twitter account of ARK: Survival Evolved shared a meme, a funny image suggesting an upgrade of the Dino adventure to Unreal Engine 5.
Currently, there are no further details, a UE5 trailer, or images of the upgrade. Apart from the meme, no additional information about the hinted upgrade is known.

What engine does ARK currently run on? ARK: Survival Evolved is a popular survival game on PC and consoles that allows you to tame and fight against dinosaurs in a futuristic setting across various maps.
ARK was first released in Early Access in June 2015. The full version has been available since 2017. Since then, Studio Wildcard has not released an update of the engine. The title has been running on a version of Unreal Engine 4.
Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) has been available since April 2022. The sequel to the survival hit, ARK 2, is said to be released on the latest version of the popular engine. Here you can see the announcement trailer:
