The first proper trailer for the movie The Super Mario Galaxy has been released and puts Rosalina in the spotlight. Fans also notice a special detail about Bowser Jr.
What kind of trailer is this? Nintendo has released a first longer trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. After the great success of Part 1, it was only a matter of time before a new installment featuring the beloved plumber would appear.
In the trailer, we initially see a shrunk-down Bowser, who is indulging in his artistic side by painting numerous artworks. One of them he presents to Mario and Luigi. However, after a tantrum, he retreats back into his mini-castle.
The second part of the trailer focuses more on the galaxy elements that one also knows from the video games of the same name, including star catapults and the Lumas. Rosalina makes an important appearance at the end of the trailer. She is voiced in the English original by Brie Larson, whom you might know as the protagonist from Captain Marvel.
Rosalina uses her powers and easily defeats her opponent. Unfortunately, she does not say a single word in the trailer. Anyone who wants to hear her will have to watch the video of the complete Direct – starting from 4:59 minutes, she can be heard.
Her attack also shows that one should not mess with her – and what a power princess she is.
Fans notice a detail about Bowser Jr.
What do fans say about it? Many fans on X are also directing their attention to Bowser Jr., as they notice a tiny detail. During his appearance, a sound can briefly be heard that resembles the theme from Prowler. This actually only appears in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and has nothing to do with Super Mario.
Some viewers are therefore wondering whether this could be a universal sound that animation studios could just use. However, one user is sure that the theme was created specifically for the Spider-Verse movie. One fan jokingly therefore states that Mario is likely now part of the Spider-Verse.
This sound has also caught the attention of users on Reddit. One user explains that the sound was actually used as a meme to express fear. It’s just funny that this sound is now used for Bowser Jr.
Mario Galaxy recently even received a remake. However, players are demanding a sequel in the comments. But it is a good sign that a Part 3 might also come out in the future: Nintendo presents a remake of Mario Galaxy, but players plead: Bring Part 3 already!
