In Pokémon GO there will also be numerous live events this summer. Niantic confirmed this with a teaser, calling this summer the “Summer of GO”
What is Niantic planning? The developers of Pokémon GO have not yet provided any concrete insights, but in a teaser, they hint at numerous events for the summer.
These are likely to include new Safari Zones. One such zone took place, for example, in Dortmund in 2018 and attracted over 30,000 players.
This is what Niantic shows in their teaser
Watch the video here: On YouTube, Pokémon GO released a video showcasing various clips from the summer tour 2018. Additionally, similar events for this summer are teased.
This is shown: Niantic writes at the end of the video “We can tell you one thing: You need a bigger bottle of sunscreen.” This likely means that we will again have numerous events this summer, such as Safari Zones.
Whether such an event will also be held in Germany is not yet known. Germany is among the countries where Pokémon GO generates the most revenue. So it is quite conceivable that we will receive another Safari Zone.
When will we know more? Niantic shows in the teaser that they will provide more information about this year’s events on April 4th. Then the event locations will likely be announced.
This is what happened in 2018: The summer tour 2018 was a huge event for Pokémon GO. There were a total of 4 Safari Zones and the big GO Fest in Chicago. Numerous Shinies, such as Roselia or Wingull were introduced.
For us Germans, the Safari Zone in Dortmund was the highlight. There were Corasonn and numerous Shinies to catch. Over 30,000 players from around the world came to this German city that weekend.
A Safari Zone already exists in April. This will result in Shiny Pottrott worldwide:
