When does the Street Fighter 6 Open Beta start: The Open Beta runs from:
- Friday, May 19, 9:00 AM (CEST) – Monday, May 22, 9:00 AM (CEST)
You can play the Open Beta on Steam as well as on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Regardless of the Open Beta, you can already play the demo of Street Fighter 6, which has been available since April 21.

How do I participate in the Open Beta? The Open Beta is available for all platforms. You just need to register a CAPCOM ID and link it to a platform. The CAPCOM ID will also be required for the full release of Street Fighter 6.
The playable characters
The Open Beta expands the demo roster with 6 additional characters and offers 8 fighters for the new modes:
- Luke
- Jamie (SF6 newcomer)
- Ryu
- Chun-Li
- Guile
- Kimberly (SF6 newcomer)
- Juri
- Ken
Like the fighters themselves, many pros have been known in the series for decades and continue to celebrate huge successes in tournaments even at 41 years old.
The playable modes and content
The beta is identical in content to the closed beta in December and offers the following playable content:
- Ranked Matches
- Casual Matches
- Battle Hub Matches
- Open Tournaments
- Training Mode
- Hub Goods Shop
- Extreme Battles (content changes daily)
- The Game Center (content changes daily)
- Challenges (content changes daily)
- The DJ Booth
- The Photo Spot
You can also hold the fights on 6 different stages.
Additional Features
In addition to the characters and game modes, the beta also presents many new features of the 6th installment:
- Cross-Play with all platforms of the Open Beta
- Both control modes (modern/classic)
- The new commentator function with 7 commentators
- Character creation and the Battle Hub
You can interact with and challenge other players in the Battle Hub with your self-created character. Through the Game Center, you can try out classic Capcom games on arcade machines that change daily.
