Pax Dei is known to combine a colorful mix of the best elements from survival and MMORPGs in a sandbox. Now the developers challenged streamers to get everything out of the game – with success.
How did the fortress come about? From June 7 to June 12, 2024, the so-called “Preview” week took place in Pax Dei. During this time, streamers and some viewers had the opportunity to try out the game.
To keep the players busy, the developers provided them with 4 challenges. They named the challenges on Discord as follows:
- The Great Expedition: Explore Pax Dei and hunt specific creatures.
- Gallic Herbarium: Collect a list of resources scattered throughout Gallia.
- Para Bellum: Equip yourself for battle, defeat some named enemies, and enter the PvP zone – at your own risk.
- Villa Extravaganza: Build the most beautiful house, village, or castle with your clan.
The “Villa Extravaganza” challenge is likely the most exciting. In just five days, the streamers and their followers were to show how well one can build in Pax Dei. The best structures have now been awarded, and the results are impressive.

A lot accomplished in a short time
How did the challenge end? The “Villa Extravaganza” challenge likely exceeded the developers’ expectations, as instead of announcing one winner, they crowned four winners.
The four winners and their entries were shared along with four additional honorable mentions in the Discord. We show you what the players have built:
- Calek (via Twitch.tv) and the Lynnwood Clan built a little town.
- Nina96 (via Twitch.tv) and her friends built a small cozy hamlet that would likely quickly become a guest favorite on Airbnb.
- SpaceGoatOne (via Twitch.tv) erected a small square to celebrate together.
- Dobrodziej (via Kick.com) built a massive fortress on a mountain.
The challenge was not only the building and the creative implementation of ideas, but also that the materials had to be farmed first before building was allowed.
What is the status of Pax Dei? The MMORPG Pax Dei will soon go into Early Access on Steam. Since June 4, 2024, you can secure different founder packs to play the Early Access version without restrictions. The more money you spend, the more character slots, building plots, and exclusive recipes you will receive.
However, the founder packs only grant you full access to the game during the Early Access phase, as the developers mentioned in an interview with MeinMMO editor Karsten Scholz. The Early Access is expected to last at least a year to make the game even better. Pax Dei: Developers on Early Access, Preview Week, Founder Packs, and the criticism from the alpha
