The three Twitch streamers Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller, Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe and Giacomo “Metashi12” Gaviria have already planned a project for December 2025. Together they want to play in a hardcore guild in World of Warcraft Classic.
What is this project about? Starting from December 27, 2025, many German Twitch streamers want to play World of Warcraft Classic together in a guild, specifically in hardcore mode. This means: Everyone has only one life or one character.
The whole event is organized by the Twitch streamers Metashi, HandOfBlood, and Papaplatte.
Details still need to be clarified behind the scenes, but the atmosphere within the community and potential participants is positive. Metashi announced that he wants to create a website for the WoW project where all important information will be compiled.
In a Twitch stream, he answered questions from the community and also revealed which in-game death he would be particularly looking forward to.
“Designed for the biggest losers in gaming history”
Who does Metashi want to see die? Especially the Twitch streamer and LoL pro Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger seems to be looking forward to WoW Classic. In a Twitch stream, he stated: “This game [WoW Classic] is designed for the biggest losers in gaming history. I will demonstrate this in December.” (Source: Twitch).
However, Metashi sees it a bit differently. He is also looking forward to it, but rather to the fact that NoWay would have problems in hardcore mode. He hopes that NoWay will die at level 3.
With only one attempt in the game, the pressure on the participants increases tremendously, making it all the more exciting for viewers. Additionally, it is interesting for viewers to see how and where the participants die. The more bizarre the death, the funnier.
This will also be supported by the planned website: Along with all important information, the death clips will be collected there so that viewers can keep up to date. Submitting one’s own death clip is also a requirement for being allowed to make a second attempt with a new character.
Will there be a second attempt? People who haven’t had much to do with WoW before could be relieved of the pressure of having only one attempt through a possible special rule. Since there will be many newcomers, Metashi thinks that a second character could be allowed.
No official participant list has been published yet. However, there are already numerous Twitch streamers who have expressed their interest in the project, including NoWay, Rumathra, and also MontanaBlack. MontanaBlack was not invited, which he found unfortunate and then complained about.
The inspiration for the hardcore guild comes from the international scene. The guild OnlyFangs, which consists of American members, was founded by the streamer Sodapoppin. He has also shared his thoughts on the German version: German streamers are planning a WoW event on Twitch, receiving a message from the model in the USA
