The Twitch streamer Ironmouse left her talent agency VShojo after raising allegations against the management. Now other streamers are following her.
Why is Ironmouse opposing her management? The Twitch streamer Ironmouse is a VTuber. She does not show her real face, but has created an avatar that represents her. There are managements that specifically work with VTubers.
Ironmouse was under contract with one of the managements in the USA: VShojo. Recently, Ironmouse released a video on her YouTube channel, in which she claimed that VShojo had embezzled her donations. Donation funds amounting to over 400,000 euros that the Twitch streamer had raised for the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF).
Since Ironmouse suffers from an immune deficiency and is often sick, she had reached out to the organization herself and received help. This support was something she wanted to give back through donations, which is why the alleged embezzlement has reportedly hit her particularly hard.
“Never thought I would say these words”
Other VTubers are following Ironmouse: Ironmouse also claims that she is waiting for payment from her management. Something that other VTubers are also claiming now.
- Kuro wrote on X that he had decided to leave the talent agency over a week before Ironmouse’s video was published.
- Projekt Melody confirmed on X her departure from VShojo and said: “I am more than devastated about what happened, and I never thought in a million years that I would say these words.”
- Kson, a VTuber who creates both English and Japanese content, talked about the fact that she allegedly has not been paid by VShojo since September 2024 during her stream. She even announced live in the stream that she is leaving the management (clip on YouTube) and that she had been considering it for a while.
Ironmouse is raising funds again: After Ironmouse allegedly found out that the donation funds had supposedly not been transferred from VShojo to the IDF, the Twitch streamer called for another fundraising campaign. Yesterday, over 700,000 US dollars were collected, even though an initial goal of 10,000 US dollars was set. Ironmouse shared her joy about this on X:
In the meantime, Ironmouse has managed to raise 1.1 million US dollars for the IDF in just 48 hours.
It remains to be seen how the situation develops and whether VShojo will post a statement themselves or comment on the situation in any other way.
