Today, our “Top 5” highlights are very co-op heavy and may test your friendships. Gang Beasts and Overcooked are two great games that suit a cozy evening with friends. Equipped with enough controllers, you can start local co-op and find out who the better team is. Fun and frustration are guaranteed with these games. Whether you throw each other off buildings or serve the right food faster is up to your choices.
Portal 2 is my recommendation when someone asks me for a good co-op title. I came across this adventure through a Let’s Play and was totally fascinated even while just watching. When I was able to play it with friends afterward, we couldn’t stop laughing.
Funny texts and deadly traps provide ongoing Schadenfreude during the various levels of the puzzle adventure. And there are many of these levels!
Your goal is to create two portals using a portal gun and thereby overcome obstacles. Your partner also has such a gun, so there are already four portals. By combining these teleportation options, not only do you create knots in the brain, but also solutions that bring you to the goal of each level. To make the adventure even harder, small robots equipped with deadly weapons will surprise you from time to time.
With control over your portals, you can determine where you go and into which abyss you send your co-op partners when they go through the gates. You will probably hear an “Oops” or “Whoops” often after your robot is destroyed in the water. This can put both patience and friendship to a special test.
Portal 2 has a single-player campaign and a co-op mode. These two game modes are separate from each other and consist of different levels and “stories”.
If you are looking for a puzzle/co-op adventure, you should take a closer look at Portal 2. While you can’t go wrong at a price of €1.99, if you are still hesitant, the trailer might convince you.
