On Steam and the PlayStation 5, a new intense horror game is launching. Just before its release, it is rated 85% positive and reminds of the popular horror series Dead Space.
What intense horror game is it about? Cronos: The New Dawn is developed by the developers and horror experts at Bloober Team. It will be released on September 5, 2025, on Steam and the PlayStation 5.
In Cronos: The New Dawn, you traverse the wasteland of the future on behalf of a mysterious collective. Through rifts in time, you can travel back to the 1980s and must uncover the origin of the apocalypse that caused the downfall of humanity.

What do the first reviews of the atmospheric horror adventure say? Steam user KaraKan has already spent 17 hours in the apocalypse and writes: “If you love Dead Space, you can safely buy it, it’s amazing.”
Another user named Theldran UV-87 writes on Steam that Dead Space was already great, but Cronos is even better: “Finally it’s here! Dead Space was already great, but Cronos: The New Dawn is absolutely insane.”

What else has Bloober Team developed? Before the new Cronos: The New Dawn, the developers at Bloober Team worked on popular horror games. With The Medium and the remake of Silent Hill 2, for example, they were able to delight many fans of the genre. The Medium has an 89% positive rating on Steam, while Silent Hill 2 is rated 95% positive with over 30,000 reviews (store.steampowered.com).
