A player of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (Steam) shared a clip on Reddit where he takes out the entire enemy team with a single shot.
Probably every shooter fan knows the joyful feeling that overcomes you when you hit a shot you didn’t even believe you could make.
A shot that exceeds your own skill or is based purely on luck. Sometimes skill and luck come together, and suddenly the question arises: “What just happened?”
This type of shot was landed by the Reddit user “njhypeisdad” a few days ago in Valve’s tactical shooter CS:GO when he hit and eliminated all five opponents with a single shot.
Gamer becomes the brave tailor – Caught 5 in one fell swoop
What a shot that was! What sounds like a gamer adaptation of the well-known fairy tale “The Brave Little Tailor” was posted by “njhypeisdad” in a video on Reddit.
In his artistic shot, “njhypeisdad” uses the AWP, a powerful sniper rifle. He confidently hits the first player, just as intended.
Then comes the part you could call “pure luck”: all five opponents walked in a line behind each other. When “njhypeisdad” hit the first player, the bullet went through him and also hit every opponent following behind, each of whom fell one after the other.
The clip of the artistic shot lasts 39 seconds in total, of which about 29 seconds are running and preparation time, then comes the shot, followed by nearly 8 seconds of incredulous cheering. After three days, the post has over 18,600 upvotes (as of April 12, 19:30).
Here you can see the artistic shot on Reddit:
“Has this ever been done legally before?”
How does the community react? When “njhypeisdad” posted his clip on Reddit, he asked whether this was rare. He himself had never seen something like it. And the community’s response is a clear “yes”.
- xlerc: “Bro… that’s the rarest thing.”
- Spice_Beans: “An AWP shot alone cannot kill all 5. The last 2 or 3 players must have been injured by a grenade in this case. […] I’ve only seen this once before. Insane.”
- Uiqueblhats: “Very rare moment that you wouldn’t have gotten if you and your teammate hadn’t thrown a grenade.”
- AidoV: “Has this ever been done legally before? I believe you’ve just achieved the rarest Ace in CS:GO at the end of its lifespan.”
A user talks about the chance of the shot being “one in a billion.”
Of course, the shot was not planned that way. It was a lucky shot with maximum collateral damage and at least one grenade that had previously caused sufficient damage. But the lucky shooter probably gladly accepts this and rightfully enjoys the incredible clip.
As CS:GO will be replaced by Counter-Strike 2 in summer 2023, it is also very likely that this shot will not be surpassed before the release of its successor.
