Steam Awards Autumn Sale 2016 – Nominate Games
For the first time in Steam’s history, you can nominate games for the Steam Awards. For 8 different categories, you can choose a game that you think deserves an award.
To nominate a game, you need to search for the respective game in the shop and select “Nominate this game for an award”. You have the choice between the following 8 categories:
The “Test of Time” Award – A game that is still just as good as it was on day one.
The “I’m not crying, I just have something in my eye” Award – Games that you associate with strong emotions.
The “Just 5 More Minutes” Award – Here you choose a game that is hard to finish.
The “Wow!” Award – Look for a game that made you cringe.
The “Villain Who Definitely Needs a Hug” Award – Which villain do you think deserves a hug?
The “Game Within a Game” Award – Choose a game with a cool mini-game in it.
The “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won an Award” Award – The Hipster Category.
The “Best Use of a Farm Animal” Award – *Cough* Goat Simulator.
Bonus: The “We Didn’t Think of Everything” Award – “The most experienced members of the selection committee will review the suggestions and create a completely new category based on the feedback received.”
For the nominations, there are rewards in the form of badges and XP. There are a total of 4 tasks for you:
Vote for at least 1 game
Nominate 1 game in each category
Play a game that you nominated
Write or update a review for a game that you nominated.
Each badge level earns you 25 XP
