If you’re looking for a racing game with an open world, you can currently save a lot of money on Steam. The mentioned game has good reviews and costs just one euro.
Which game is it? The Crew 2 was released in 2018 and is the direct successor to the first part of the same name. It was developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft.
The Crew 2 is, like its predecessor, a racing game. But unlike many competing titles, you are not limited to closed tracks, but can drive in an open world. There are races and challenges waiting for you, and you can explore the USA, as The Crew 2 takes place there, quite freely.
Unlike the predecessor, in this installment, alongside the obligatory cars, you also have access to planes, motorcycles, helicopters, and boats. The term racing game is therefore quite stretched.
If you’ve been unsure whether a trip to the virtual USA of The Crew 2 is worth it, you can currently make the trip for a ridiculously low amount of money.
The game is almost being given away
What is the offer? Ubisoft has drastically reduced the price of The Crew 2 on Steam. The game usually costs 49.99 euros; currently, it is a whopping 98% off. This results in a price of just 1 euro.
That is ridiculously low and might convince skeptics to give the game a chance. We are talking about a price that is far below that of your daily coffee, not to mention lunch snacks.
Is the purchase worth it? Money isn’t everything; quality has to be right. The Crew 2 has received mixed ratings from the press since its release in 2018. On Metacritic, the game holds a score of 64 from critics. Players rate it 5.7 on the platform.
The picture looks different on Steam. Here, The Crew 2 has a “very positive” rating. 82% of players found the game good, out of 61,310 total reviews (as of September 11, 2024).
However, recent reviews are only “mixed”. With the current offer, many new players will certainly try The Crew 2. It remains to be seen how the opinions will change in the coming days.
