What’s happening in Pokémon GO? In early August, there was a bug in Pokémon GO version 373.1, which prevented players from catching Pokémon after using the items “Incense” and “Daily Adventure Incense.”
The Niantic Support addressed this issue again on social media and announced a compensation.
On “X”, the support states that from August 13, 00:00 to August 20, 23:45, the following bonuses will apply:
- The regular Incense lasts three times as long
- The “Daily Adventure Incense” will be extended to double the duration
Particularly interesting is the second point. In the currently ongoing season “Joyful Days,” the Adventure Incense duration is already doubled.
- Normally, the daily Adventure Incense lasts 15 minutes and can be used once a day
- Currently, it lasts 30 minutes due to the season bonus
- Starting tomorrow, the Adventure Incense should last for an hour after activation

One hour a day to search for Galar birds
This is how the Adventure Incense works: You can activate the Adventure Incense once per day. The corresponding button can be seen on the right side of the game screen.
Once the Incense is active, you should take a walk. As long as you are moving, the daily Adventure Incense will cause additional monsters to appear. These can be unusual and may bring you strong Pokémon.
The most exciting thing are the three Galar versions of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. They can only be found with an active Adventure Incense. However, they are very rare and only appear occasionally in the Adventure Incense. Additionally, they often flee even when encountered.
Consequently, many trainers are likely still searching for them. This hour per day is a top opportunity to add the birds to your collection.
Longer? By the way, you can also use the Original Dialga’s adventure effect to extend the Adventure Incense. However, this costs Dialga candies and Stardust – and not a small amount either. This wouldn’t be advisable this week, where the Incense is already lasting longer.
