Starfield: How to secure a brutally strong weapon right at the start

Shooting is not uncommon in the new sci-fi RPG Starfield. If you want to get a nasty piece right at the beginning, then get the “Elegance”.

What kind of weapon is this? The Elegance is a rare pistol that you can buy early in the game.

The US site PC Gamer discovered it in a shop in Akila City and swears by the strength and handling of the pistol (via pcgamer.com). For the start, there is hardly a better alternative among rare weapons with only one perk – but this perk is significant for the Elegance.

What can the Elegance do? It is a pistol focused on medium combat distance. The Elegance offers little recoil, combined with a decent rate of fire. However, the small magazine holds the pistol back a bit.

The perk really hits hard:

• Shattering: Breaks even the strongest armor

If you are somewhat good shooters, the Elegance should easily carry you through all the battles of your first space adventures. If you increase damage through skills like “Pistol Certification”, you should have no problems for now.

PC Gamer recommends a silencer – it gives extra damage to enemies who have not spotted you yet.

Where do you get the Elegance? At the shop “Rowland Arms” in Akila City in the Cheyenne star system:

• After the tutorial and your first visit to New Atlantis, open your star map
• If you have Alpha Centauri in the middle, move the cursor up to the right and look for the system “Cheyenne”
• In the system screen, you will find the planet “Akila”
• Select “Akila City” as the landing point on the planet
• Walk into the city and stay on the main street – you will find the shop “Rowland Arms” on the left side
• Here the Elegance can be bought for around 18,000 credits

If you have already collected enough cash, you will get a very strong weapon right at the start. PC Gamer even calls the pistol “overpowered”.
