Nvidia has released new software for its graphics card. Included are a whole range of detail improvements for Starfield. Also included is a feature that is now activated automatically: the BAR profile.
Starfield has now been released, but the players are arguing about the performance of Starfield. Now Nvidia has put a new software update online that you can install. The update brings important changes and a performance boost when you play Starfield.
New software brings more performance and activates feature in the game
What is this update about? Nvidia itself explains that in a test scenario “an average performance increase of 5%” was achieved.
Additionally, Nvidia now supports the “optimal settings” for Starfield in its software. This is a feature of “GeForce Experience,” which optimizes the game’s graphics settings based on your hardware. However, you can easily disable the feature if you prefer to set the best settings and configurations for Starfield yourself.
Who benefits from the performance boost? According to Nvidia, both RTX-3000 and RTX-4000 graphics cards should benefit from the boost. This applies to both desktop and laptop graphics chips. With older graphics cards, you will benefit only to a limited extent.
How do I install the update? The “Resizable BAR update” for Starfield is automatically provided through the software. You do not have to do anything for it. If you have the latest version of the software or the prior version (537.17) installed, Resizable BAR will automatically be applied to your game.
Where do I download the update? Ideally, you activate automatic updates in “GeForce Experience,” and everything happens automatically. Alternatively, you can also trigger the update yourself: Simply switch to the “Drivers” tab within the software and click on the “Check for updates” button. If there is new software for your graphics card, it will be automatically downloaded.
If you manually download the update for your Nvidia graphics card, make sure you do not download any malware. During a ransomware attack on Nvidia, criminals stole important data and are using it to offer fake Nvidia software:
