D.Va begins her career in StarCraft 2. Initially just as a new announcer voice.
When Blizzard wrote the backstory of Hana Song, better known as D.Va in Overwatch , the designers gave her a gaming background. In the future of the game, she is the number one player in StarCraft 2. So what could be more fitting than to give this character an appearance in actual StarCraft 2?
Therefore, D.Va will be one of the new “Announcer” voices introduced with patch 3.7 in Blizzard’s strategy game. Anyone who doesn’t like their generic announcer of the respective race (Protoss, Zerg, or Terran) will be able to exchange it for other character voices in the future – such as Abathur, Raynor, Artanis, or Kerrigan.

D.Va is offered as a special bonus for all who either attend BlizzCon 2016 in person or watch the event from home via a Virtual Ticket. BlizzCon takes place on November 4th and 5th in Anaheim – but for most of us probably rather on the home screen.
