Disney and Lucasfilm announced that the two popular “Star Wars” characters will now be brought from living rooms to the big screen. Instead of a 4th season of the series The Mandalorian, a movie has been announced. The film will be released under the title The Mandalorian & Grogu .

Who is involved in the film? Jon Favreau will direct the upcoming Mandalorian film. He was previously responsible as a director for Iron Man and Iron Man 2, as well as the creator and executive producer of the series The Mandalorian.
He expressed his excitement about the opportunity to bring the well-known characters from the “Star Wars” series to the big screen:
I loved telling stories set in the rich world created by George Lucas. The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.
