Tips and Preparation for the Rancor
You can encounter the Rancor very early in the game. For the best chances, it is advisable to have upgraded Cal significantly. So maximum stim packs and fully improved stats. However, if you want to face him early, parrying and dodging are essential.
- Parry: You can parry several attacks from the Rancor. Mastering this mechanic has two main advantages. You don’t lose track in the arena when wildly trying to dodge his attacks. The second point is the proximity to the Rancor. When you parry, you are closer and can land more hits between his attacks.
- Two Weapons: In line with the last point, the combat stance with two weapons is the fastest. It offers the quickest openings between the Rancor’s attacks.

Dangerous Attacks of the Rancor
