In the upcoming online shooter Star Wars Battlefront , the times for the open beta are now known.
In Germany, it is set to start in the afternoon of October 8th at 3:30 PM. The open beta for Star Wars Battlefront will begin at least for PC, if we can trust Origin.
For the download of Star Wars Battlefront via the PS Store or Xbox One, there are rumors about the timing being around this time. It is expected to be around 4:00 PM. EA’s information policy here is somewhat … nebulous. Different start times have been scheduled for the regions, independent of the time difference: In North America, it is rumored to start at 7:00 PM our time, while in our region it will likely start a few hours earlier. Further east on the globe, it is rumored to already be playable.
PC players can start a pre-download via Origin, if their systems can handle it at all. The system requirements are quite demanding. Playstation4 and XboxOne players do not have to worry about system requirements. However, there is no possibility to download the massive game (8GB console, 11 GB PC) in advance for them. At least not without a residence in Australia …
In the beta, there will be three different mission types. Players can play the XXL mode “Walker Assault on Hoth”. This mode is generally praised and recommended as the mode that best captures the “Star Wars” feeling.
Also playable are the “Horde” mode in survival missions and with “Drop Zone”, a dynamic shooter mode.
