A small alpha is currently taking place for the multiplayer shooter Star Wars Battlefront. The non-disclosure agreement seems to be seen by participants as a loose “might” provision.
Expectations are high for Star Wars: Battlefront in November. It is set to release on Playstation 4, XBox One, and PC, and a limited alpha is currently taking place for the title on PC. Players participating are technically obligated to confidentiality, but that seems to be of little concern to some.
Within a short time, lists of weapons and ships found in the alpha’s database were online, which can be found in the Neogaf forum.
There are numerous screenshots and some videos already. Electronic Arts is trying to rein it in by taking down videos from the internet, and a live stream from the alpha was, as Pc Gamer knows, interrupted in the middle.
But what do the leaks tell us? So far, participants have mainly noticed clear menu structures. Everything looks clean and stylish, they praise. The graphics and performance are also strong. However, the title still lacks that certain soul and the “Star-Wars je ne sais quoi,” that is often mentioned in interviews. But it is still an alpha.

And Gaming-Bolt has a lot of screens.
It probably would have been better if Electronic Arts had marked the client with a “water stamp” that allows tracing the material back to a specific client. Then such things usually don’t happen. But well, at least there’s something to watch.
