In the upcoming month of May, a major patch is set to fix numerous bugs that have crept in with the latest DLC of Star Wars: Battlefront.
Just a display error – Ranks and credits are being saved correctly
The Outer Rim DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront not only expanded the game with new maps and the two fresh heroes Nien Nunb and Greedo, but also brought several unpleasant bugs into the game. While some of these are barely noticeable, others are more serious and, above all, really annoying. There is a bug that causes players to accumulate “negative” experience points – their rank decreases increasingly. Another bug prevents the gain of credits at the end of a match, which means no upgrades and unlocks can be purchased.
However, the developers have provided reassurance in the official forum. These bugs are just interface problems; the display is not correct. In reality, the “actual” data, meaning player level and credits, are being stored correctly and will be displayed correctly again after the next patch is applied. So no progress is lost, and players can continue to enjoy the game with peace of mind.
For some other bugs, they have not yet been able to locate the source, but they are working hard to provide acceptable solutions as soon as possible. Players at rank 60, in particular, often experience a connection drop after finishing a match, and in space battles, hits on enemy ships are occasionally not registered. They are still searching for the right answers to these bugs.
There is still no specific date for the patch. The forum only mentions “early May,” so players will have to wait at least 2 more weeks.
