A video shows hidden menu items in Star Wars: Battlefront – is a singleplayer/co-op mode for the shooter coming after all?
“Instant Action” promises exciting battles offline as well
Star Wars: Battlefront was quite a success. No wonder, as the shooter is considered a “family game” with some simplified mechanics, allowing a broad target audience to achieve success. Together with the hype surrounding Episode 7, the shooter’s success was assured.
Nevertheless, many fans were disappointed that EA and Dice decided to almost completely eliminate the offline components of the game. Especially story fans criticized that there would be no campaign – something that was a must in the predecessors and other Star Wars titles. This also led to the game receiving “only” a rating of 75%, which Electronic Arts is quite unhappy with. But perhaps the fans’ pleading and begging will soon be heard.
Because now a video is causing a stir, as Reddit user uninspired_zebra shows in a video various menu items of the game that he claims to have discovered. According to him, there will be offline variants for the two game modes “Walker Assault” and “Fighter Squadron” – until now, both modes could only be played online. According to the on-screen texts, the maps can then be played alone or with a friend (online), with the difficulty adjusted in three different levels (Normal, Hard, and Master).
However, EA has not yet confirmed whether this is really in development or just “remnants” and design ideas that have accumulated in the data trash. It is also possible that the whole thing is simply a fake – but then a very well done one.
