Today, the fourth and final DLC, Rogue One: Scarif, for Star Wars Battlefront is launching.
The last DLC for the shooter Star Wars: Battlefront includes content from the new Star Wars film “Rogue One.” Today it goes online for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but only for players who own the Season Pass or the Ultimate Edition. The rest will have to wait two weeks. For them, the DLC starts on December 20, if they manage to get it. However, all players will receive an update today.
The new DLC Rogue One: Scarif brings 4 new maps on the tropical planet Scarif. Additionally, two new villains/heroes join Battlefront, the Rebel leader Jyn Erso and the villain Orson Krennic. They play a special role, as those who have cleared opponents with their normal character can take on their persona.
A new multi-stage mode, which includes ground and aerial combat, rounds off the expansion. The mode is called Infiltration.
In addition to the DLC, there’s also an update for all players, which includes two weapons: the A180 and the DT-29. A new vehicle for the Infiltration mode, a U-Wing, is also coming to the game. And “Star Cards” will also be added. Not to mention an array of bug fixes and changes.

The successor to Battlefront, Star Wars Battlefront 2, is already in the works. It is supposed to be significantly more complex and grand than the current game. That was the good news. The bad news is that EA is considering ramping up monetization. They are looking at the model of the football game FIFA 17. More about this can be found in this article:
